"Faerie’s Rest" is a unique blend of adventure, puzzle, mystery, and thriller elements, crafted to meet the imaginative challenge set by our client, Blazing Griffin. As part of a creative team of four, my role in bringing this concept to life was comprehensive—I was responsible for the entirety of the game's development in Unity. This encompassed designing puzzles, structuring them, and integrating these elements into the game, alongside all the coding and design work. Our ambition was to tell a compelling story without relying on text, writing, or speech, making the narrative accessible purely through game-play and visual storytelling, all while building upon a beloved pre-existing IP.

The game unfolds a gripping tale of a wizard couple caught in a web of love, betrayal, and mystery. After the husband's mysterious murder in a hotel, the wife (and player) embarks on a quest to unravel the truth. Through solving puzzles and experiencing flashbacks, players piece together a story that mirrors the complexity of the Harry Potter universe, including dark affiliations and tragic decisions that lead to a haunting yet redemptive conclusion.

The game-play loop is simple yet engaging: solve a puzzle, watch a story-revealing animation, and unlock new abilities. Each step forward unveils a layer of the narrative, drawing players deeper into the mystery of "Faeries Rest." This game is a testament to the power of visual storytelling and the magic that can be achieved through thoughtful game design — elements I had the privilege of crafting from the ground up.
